Can I loose weight with PIlates?

This is one of the most confusing issues about Pilates. Pilates is not a weight loss training because it does not imply the performance of an aerobic exercise, which is a fat burner.

But, it is indeed true that many people who practice Pilates starts getting activated and recovering energies, feeling that their physical performance improves, their bodies get unblocked, which entices them to realize other activities and practice sports.

In addition to this, metabolism is activated, since fat starts replacing muscles and this consumes more energy.

To supply this lack of aerobic exercise, some Pilates schools combine the Pilates training with aerobic exercise in elliptical machines or with bosu, the perfect complement for being soft and non-impact exercise systems.
