Differences between Pilates and Yoga

If you are a Yoga fan you may not find Pilates interesting enough to consider. However, we want you to know and take a look at what Pilates has to offer you:

Both focus on stretching, strengthening and balancing the body. However, while Yoga focuses on many individual poses and staying still for very long time, Pilates applies a more varied and movement-oriented focus on its over 600 exercises.

While Yoga focuses on developing control and strength of the entire body in each Yoga position, Pilates makes you move from the center (Power House) outward.

With this we are not stating that Pilates is better than Yoga, but a discipline that help yoguinis enhance their Yoga acknowledge since they learn how to move from their core, which they can not learn with Yoga only.
